Backbend Series: Discover the Art of Heart-Opening

The Backbend Series is a collection of three standalone workshops, each focused on a different backbend peak pose. Studios can book one, two, or all three workshops, depending on their needs.

Peak Pose Choices: Full Wheel Pose  + Dropback (Urdhva Dhanurasana), Scorpion Shapes or Bow Pose (Dhanurasana)

Structure

  • 1-hour yoga flow: Warm up and prepare the body with targeted movement.

  • 40-minute learning session: Explore the mechanics of spinal extension, hip opening, and shoulder mobility. Learn safe techniques to prevent strain and deepen the pose.

  • 20-minute partner stretches: Build flexibility and trust through guided partner work.

  • 20-minute peak pose exploration: Experiment with props, adjustments, and personalized feedback to achieve your best backbend.

Arm Balances & Inversions: Pincha Mayurasana & Chin Stand Mastery

Dive into the exciting world of arm balances and inversions with workshops dedicated to Pincha Mayurasana (Forearm Stand) or Chin Stand. These workshops are designed to help students build strength, stability, and confidence in upside-down poses.

Structure

  • 1-hour yoga flow: Focus on building the foundations for arm balancing and inversion.

  • 40-minute learning session: Understand the mechanics of arm balancing, shoulder stability, and core activation. Learn progressions and modifications to suit all levels.

  • 20-minute partner stretches: Prepare the body for flexibility and alignment.

  • 20-minute peak pose exploration: Experiment with props, adjustments, and personalized feedback to find ease and strength in the pose.
